Information for NGOs *

NGOs will be able to make statements in the Ad Hoc Committee of the Whole of the Special Session.
Given the availability of time, a limited number of NGOs in consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) may also make statements in the debate in the Plenary of the Special Session. 
The President of the Assembly is requested to present the list of selected non-governmental organizations to the Member States in a timely manner for approval, and to ensure that such selection is made on an equal and transparent basis, taking into account the geographical representation and diversity of non-governmental organizations.

Mandat International  
The Welcome Centre for Non-Governmental Organisations and Delegations aims at encouraging the participation of non-governmental delegates at international conferences held in Geneva and creating a place of meeting and exchange between delegates of different geographical regions and working in different fields. The Welcome Centre gives priority to delegates coming from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Developing Countries.
