This web-site aims to
provide necessary information for WSSD+5 for all stakeholders.
We hope to make it easier for
you to get involved in this important process of reviewing
progress since 1995 and looking forward beyond 2000.
This site is aiming to make all relevant material available on
the issues under discussion - from the UN bodies working on
Social Development and other stakeholders such as NGOs; women's
groups; youth, indigenous peoples; religious communities; trade
unions; business & industry; research & education;
governments; local authorities. It also provides
international agreements from other UN processes which are
dealing with the same issues.

This web-site is being built & maintained by UNED-UK. UNED is a multi-stakeholder forum that works to promote sustainable development at the global, national and local levels. To achieve this, UNED
links stakeholder groups together to promote sustainable development;
feeds their views to Governments and the UN at the highest levels;
informs of the latest stages of international negotiations;
advises on sustainability initiatives and good practices;
participates in UN meetings.
UNED has started in 1999 to prepare for the 10 year review of the Earth Summit in 2002. WSSD+5 is a significant stepping stone towards Earth Summit 2002.
