MAF Public Information Paper
http://www.maf.govt.nz/MAFnet/publications/rsocres/httoc.htm
All these reports have a common theme: to achieve the desired outcome there must be a common shared vision. To reach this vision all stakeholders need to be included - and that may require special efforts to include women and Maori, young people and older people, and rural people as well as urban residents. Location makes it particularly difficult for rural people to obtain information needed to run their businesses or obtain work, participate in social activities, and improve their well-being. Communication strategies need to take account of the location issue to ensure that rural people don’t miss out.

More than 15 authors have contributed their thinking and insights to this book, presenting a multiplicity of visions of a women's development agenda for the major global issues of our time. With sections on economic restructuring, sustainable livelihoods, healthy communities and governance, this book gives readers a broad overview of the past, present and future of women's strategies for transforming the global policy agenda
