UN Commissions

Several Functional Commissions under the UN Economic and Social Council deal quite directly with gender issues - women's rights, gender and sustainable development, etc.

You find documents from 1992 onwards - the year when the Earth Summit in Rio had a major effect on international policy, establishing Sustainable Development as the overarching theme of the strategies in the different sectors.
Documents by the Commission on Sustainable Development only go back to 1993 when the Commission was founded.
