Other Major Groups Documents

Agenda 21, the major outcome of the Earth Summit in 1992, acknowledges the significant role of 9 so-called Major Groups to achieve sustainable development, these being:

Women's organisations' documents and NGOs Documents are provided mainly in the NGO Documents section of the toolkit; our focus there is on women's NGOs and NGOs working in the field of environment and development.

We have included documents provided by other stakeholder groups such as Parliamentarians and the Education Community, because their input is significant even if they do not have the official status of Major Groups.

Documents provided here have been produced for UN Summits and Conferences, UN Commissions and other international, regional and national events.
