After finishing her European Baccalaureate at the European School of Uccle, Brussels, Belgium, Liesbeth has been studying Ecological Science at the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Edinburgh since 1999. This degree emphasizes the multi-disciplinary nature of the relatively new science of ecology: it includes behavioural, evolutionary, and physiological  ecology; the physical environment (climate, hydrology and pollution) as well as the study of managed biological systems and management-related topics.

Liesbeth has also been working with a European Consultants Organisation in Brussels, and Environmental Research Management in London.

At the Implementation Conference, she will support the Conference Office and the Coordination Team.
