Gary Austin – Consultant Facilitator Gary Austin is co-founder and a Senior Consultant with circleindigo, a Facilitation and Change Management consultancy specialising in the planning, design and facilitation of group process interventions. Gary has had wide experience of group, collaborative and participative working since 1986. He has experience of preparing for and running a variety of facilitated workshops (500+), for clients of all levels, throughout organizations, including customers, partners and suppliers. This has included strategic, business and project planning, requirements definition, process modelling, problem solving/issue resolution, project completion, communication and team building and Joint Application Development (JAD) workshops. He has designed; project managed and run change management workshops as part of wider major change programmes/initiatives. Gary has co-developed and run core facilitation skills and change management courses. He also has extensive experience in training, training consultancy, course development and tutoring in other areas. Gary is currently the European Regional Coordinator of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF), a global association with 1700+ members in 36 different countries. He sits on the IAF Association Coordinating Team (ACT) and on the IAF Europe steering committee. He is a past secretariat, chair and current Treasurer of the UK Facilitator’s Guild. Gary has input to the development of IAF Facilitator skills and competencies over the past 5 years and has worked on a programme to develop and run an internationally recognised Facilitator Certification programme, under the auspices of the IAF.
