Due to ongoing negotiations in the conference room booked for the planned side event, it will be held at the 3rd preparatory meeting for the World Summit on Sustainable Development (PrepComm II; New York 25 March - 8 April 2002).
This side event will be co-hosted by Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) and Stakeholder Forum for Our Common Future.

"Health and sustainable development: the role of the stakeholders"
The side event will take the form of a panel discussion with speakers addressing interweaving topics relating to health, sustainable development and the role of stakeholders.

Invited speakers include representatives from GRI, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, PRIA, WHO, WIT, Stakeholder Forum for Our Common Future (formerly UNED Forum), and other partners.

The side event is meant to feed the workshop outcomes into the preparatory process for Earth Summit 2002.
