Opening plenary with high level opening speech, outlining the purpose, goals, ethos and agenda of the conference;

Parallel sessions on the conference issues, introducing the conference material;

Space for gathering socially.

 

DAY 2: Opportunities

Parallel sessions on the conference issues; further division into smaller groups to address each activity area;

The sessions will be presented with a list of questions & tasks to be addressed;

The parallel sessions will be linked / intersected in such a way as to allow people to mix across issues;

Social function.

 

DAY 3: Action Planning

Parallel sessions on the conference issues; further division into smaller groups to address each activity area;

The sessions will be presented with a list of questions & tasks to be addressed;

The parallel sessions will be linked / intersected in such a way as to allow people to mix across issues;

Conference Dinner.

 

DAY 4: Commitment

Reporting back to plenary;

Draft summary outlining principal outcomes and sense of the meeting;

Planning for events / activities at the Summit;

Plenary with high-level closing speech.

 

Careful planning of agenda and timetable will be balanced with a need for flexibility.

The conference will benefit from a team of professional facilitators for all sessions.

Support systems such as translation, meeting spaces for smaller and larger groups, office space, IT/ communications support, etc. will be available.
